Dance Off is a student-run event at UC Merced. The goal and purpose of this event is to instill passion, hospitality, innovation, and leadership among the student body. The event provides a secure environment for students to watch amazing dance performances and to get hyped. The Campus Activities Board invites students to Dance Off, which is the culmination of the dance teams' hard work on campus. Known as the "Battle of the UCM Dance Groups," where teams battle to claim the Goblet of Cadency. Typically, this is one of the last events of the academic year that the Traditional Committee hosts in April! Unfortunately due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Dance Off hasn't been hosted since 2019. As the Dance Teams on campus return and refill their rosters, there is hope for Dance Off to return soon in the future.
